Kai Greene Hints At 2024 Comeback - Trolled by Jay Cutler

The 2024 contest season is just around the corner, which means that some of the biggest stars in bodybuilding are entering into the second half of their prep as they gear up to bring their talents back to one of the sport’s biggest stages in Columbus, Ohio.

However, even though Samson Dauda is chasing history as he looks to secure his second straight Arnold Classic title in a historic lineup that features former Olympia champ Hadi Choopan, former Arnold Classic UK winner Andrew Jacked, and a handful of other former Olympians, right now one of the  most talking about stories in bodybuilding centers around former three-time Arnold Classic winner Kai Greene, who captured headlines earlier this week when he hinted at a potential comeback for the 2024 season.

The controversy began on Monday when Greene commented on the @rxmuscle Instagram page:

Although this isn’t the first, second, or even third time Kai’s openly flirted with a comeback since he last competed in 2019, he did state on the record as recently as May 2023 that he was not officially retired, which does make room for the possibility of the now 48 year old Greene to follow in the footsteps of the late Shawn Rhoden by capturing his first Olympia title in the late stages of his career.

However, despite Kai’s assertions about his comeback being “for real this time”, given his on-again off-again history, it’s no surprise that his comments ran head first into a mountain of skepticism.

“Better chance of me coming back for the 2024 Olympia” – Jay Cutler

Just like almost every other bodybuilding season, 2024 is guaranteed to come packaged with its fair share of surprises but, if there is any grain of truth buried in Kai’s comments, and he does indeed plan to make a comeback to a bodybuilding stage that is, for all intents and purposes, almost entirely full of new faces since the last time he competed, it has the potential to be one a historic run that ends with one of the greatest bodybuilders of his generation finally securing the last piece of his legacy.
