In the second largest steroid bust in United States history, a multi-jurisdictional task force including members of the IRS, DEA, and FDA made 53 arrests ending this morning at 4.30 AM. According to DEA spokesperson Rusty Payne, 53 people have been arrested and charged with various steroid, growth hormone, and related drug offenses in the Southern District of Texas, and 22 will additionally face Federal charges. The investigation began in ‘06 with a smaller bust that ultimately led authorities to the arrests made today.

Another IFBB New York Pro show is in the bag and, as is always customary in New York City, it was a freak show to remember. However, as far as freak shows go, this was not the end-all to end-all. Prior to the show, on paper, it appeared as though the line-up would be dense, difficult to judge, and pretty incredible to watch. All three appeared to be true. In fact, I can tell you it was pretty incredible to watch, especially since our good friend Evan Centopani won the show. In doing so, this great young hopeful cemented his bright future career by starting off with a win.
I was sitting with IFBB Pro Branch Warren one day talking about a Planet Fitness gym he trained at once while on the road. Apparently, as the story goes, he was using too much weight and making too much noise while he trained and they asked him to leave. Now, when you think about that scenario you just have to scratch your head. How can a bodybuilder-- a top ranked IFBB Pro bodybuilder-- be asked to leave a gym for training like a bodybuilder?
